Energy Work History:

I took my first level of Reiki in 1993 and became a master in 1996.  This practice brought me into a much broader experience of people, energy and the world.  It opened up perceptions that I had unconsciously shut down in childhood and brought me to a greater sense of peace. It was during this time I also began learning and teaching Tai Chi. The combination of opening up the physical body while working on the energetic bodies was very effective in bring me to an awareness of changes in energy and healing.

Spirit Guides:

I first began noticing spirit guides while doing Reiki Treatments.  A man would arrive to chant and perform ceremony while I was doing hands-on care.  I thought perhaps I was meeting my spirit guide.  At the time I had the misconception that I would only have one.  Through further exploration I discovered that the guide I was born with was actually a woman who’s main interest was plants and their healing properties.  I’ve always been fascinated by this topic so her influence was clear.  I called her Sylvie and began to welcome her input on my life choices.  The medicine man from the Reiki treatments I named Dale and now welcome his help when I work with healing energies.  I feel his presence especially when there is a strong need of physical healing. I feel very grateful to have their gentle and loving energies in my company.

Three other guides, that I am aware of, have walked with me for a time to help in various aspects of my life and I know they are available if I need to call on their expertise or encouragement. 

In the summer of 2008 I was giving a friend a reading when I noticed a new and very strong energy arrive.  I took a deep breath and began to channel information.  It was only a sentence or two and when I was done I began to cry, as the energy was so strong and wonderful.  There was a sense of reverence, awe, peace and excitement all at the same time.  It was certainly a bit overwhelming. I began to develop a connection with this new guide and was told that he would be with me a long time.  I searched for a name and Samson popped into my head.  When I asked if that worked as a way of connection I was given a deep chuckling response and a flashed picture of my guide in shoulder-length curly black hair.  His face had strong features with dark bushy eyebrows and piercing dark eyes that held a great deal of humour.  He informed me that his life on earth (around 600 b.c.) was that of a merchant sailor on the Mediterranean shipping goods between ports.  Currently he is a teacher of spirit guides.  He seems to have a passion for philosophy and getting into the details of the nature of the universe and energy.  I have learned so much about energy and the subtlety of its workings through channeling Samson.

Working with Samson is now part of living and breathing.  He is the source of information in my readings, but he also pushes me to grow, try new things, and learn. I feel very blessed to have his guidance and loving presence in my life.
